What to Expect as a Patient

  • Initial Consultation: Our initial consultation involves a detailed assessment of your symptoms, history, and concerns.I

  • Ongoing Support: We schedule regular follow-ups to adjust treatment, review progress, and provide guidance.

  • Menopause Care and Weight Management: Our menopause care is separate from our weight management practices. Visits are billed through insurance, and we accept most insurance plans. There are no additional care management fees for your visits.

  • Compounded Medications and Pellets: At our practice, we are committed to providing safe, effective hormone therapy options, which is why we only offer FDA-approved estrogen and progestogen products through licensed pharmacies. We do not use compounded hormones or hormone pellets. Compounded hormones are not FDA-regulated, meaning they are not held to the same rigorous manufacturing standards or proof of claim as FDA-approved formulations. They also lack clinical trial evidence showing they are safer or more effective. Pellets, in particular, carry additional risks due to unpredictable absorption rates, which can lead to adverse events. Furthermore, compounded hormones and pellets are often not covered by insurance, adding to the burden on patients. Our approach prioritizes your health, using only well-regulated, evidence-based therapies.

  • Testosterone: We recognize that testosterone can be a valuable component of hormone therapy for some women, and we prescribe it when medically necessary. Low-dose testosterone, when appropriately managed, can help address symptoms such as low libido, fatigue, and mood changes. However, we only prescribe testosterone in FDA-approved forms and doses that have been researched and shown to be effective and safe for women. Unlike compounded testosterone, which lacks FDA oversight, our approach ensures you receive a regulated, monitored treatment designed to support your health. We take careful measures to monitor testosterone levels and adjust dosages as needed, always prioritizing your safety and well-being.
